Missouri State earned a win over Illinois State in an unbelievable way Sunday.
Illinois State held a two-point lead and had possession with 7.8 seconds to play. But, its ensuing inbounds pass was knocked away and the ball was batted down the court.
All 10 players on the floor went for the ball and Missouri State’s Jarred Dixon ended up with it. He then launched a shot from half court, which sank through the net to give his team the 66-65 victory.

“It’s surreal,” Dixon said after the game, via Ozarks Sports Zone. “I just credit my teammates, we just kept fighting until the end. Everybody was diving on the floor trying to get it. I just happened to pick it up and let it go.”
Dixon finished with 13 points in the win. Missouri State improved to 13-12 while Illinois State fell to 14-11.
