Zion Williamson injury update: Duke star to play Thursday against Syracuse

Zion Williamson is back.

Duke announced that its freshman star will take the court Thursday in the No. 5 Blue Devils’ ACC Tournament matchup against Syracuse at 9 p.m. ET.

Williamson injured his left knee Feb. 20 against North Carolina when he planted his foot to cut and his shoe split apart.

He has been sidelined since, and the Blue Devils (26-5) have struggled in his absence, winning just three of their last six games.

Williamson practiced fully with Duke this week in preparation for his return against the Orange (20-12). 

He is averaging 21.6 points per game with 8.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
