Film crews and actors have been spotted at several Grand Prix events throughout the year, including sightings of people wearing APX GP branded clothing &#8211; the fictional team that will feature in the film &#8211; at the British, Hungarian and US Grands Prix.<\/p>\n<p>The film will feature Pitt, Damson Idris and Javier Bardem as the main actors, with Lewis Hamilton listed as a producer. The movie was due to be released in the not-so-distant future but the writers&#8217; and actors union strikes in Hollywood have set plans back.<\/p>\n<p>While fans will be eager to witness the film and learn more about its plot, not everyone involved in the sport will be keeping an eye out for a release date.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/73\/590x\/secondary\/5123279.jpg?r=1703004753153\"><\/p>\n<p>Verstappen revealed that he is a fan of Pitt&#8217;s films, but insisted that it&#8217;s unlikely that he will watch the upcoming blockbuster.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yes, so many. Ocean\u2019s Eleven, Ocean\u2019s Twelve and so on, those roles stick with me,&#8221; Verstappen told Formule1.nl. &#8221; like movies anyway and Brad Pitt is of course a super actor. I saw a few clips of the new film before the American Grand Prix in Austin.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These were shown during the Drivers Meeting with an explanation of how they had filmed it all. It&#8217;s nice to see, that&#8217;s for sure, but it doesn&#8217;t really interest me that much. I personally don&#8217;t have much of an issue with that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen was then asked about his own acting skills while in the paddock, to which he added: &#8220;I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s really acting. It&#8217;s just the world you live in, that&#8217;s just how it works. It&#8217;s more playing every now and then.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;d rather not do that, of course, but it is part of the political game in Formula 1 and many other sports. Over the years I have become a little more adept at what I say and what I don&#8217;t say. But in general I am mainly myself and certainly not an actor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lewis Hamilton previously hinted that the film is set to be released in &#8220;early 2025&#8221; meaning that Verstappen still has plenty of time to change his mind. Earlier in the year, Pitt was also asked about the film during a conversation with Sky Sports&#8217; F1 pundit Martin Brundle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA guy who raced in the 1990s&#8230;who has a horrible crash, craps out and disappears, then he\u2019s racing in other disciplines,\u201d said Pitt regarding the film&#8217;s plot. \u201cHis friend, played by Javier Bardem, he\u2019s a team owner, contacts him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re a last place team, they\u2019re 21-22 on the grid, they\u2019ve never scored a point. But they have a young phenom, played by Damson Idris, and they bring me in as kind of a Hail Mary and hijinks ensue.
