Rousey lost the RAW Women’s Championship in a historic Winner Takes All Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania where she took on Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
Lynch became RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion with a controversial pinfall victory over the UFC Hall of Famer who kicked out before the referee counted to three.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet suffered a broken hand during the historic bout that saw all three WWE superstars becoming the first ever women to headline Mania.
According to Fightful, The Rowdy One didn’t appear on the new season’s first episode of RAW but was backstage after her impressive performance at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
But let me just say, regardless of whether Ronda goes away for a little while or not she’ll be back
WWE didn’t use the first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion because of her injury and her planned hiatus from the wrestling giants.
The sports entertainment company hopes to have her back either late this year or early 2020.
Rousey’s return date is yet unknown as she is set to undergo surgery on Tuesday.
Rumours suggested that the MMA hero would take some time off regardless after WrestleMania.
There was even speculation that she would completely depart from WWE to start a family with her husband Travis Browne.
However, WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon is confident the famous fighter won’t leave for good and will be back soon.
McMahon told Express Sport: “I don’t know, I think you have to ask Ronda.
“But let me just say, regardless of whether Ronda goes away for a little while or not she’ll be back.
“And WWE will welcome her with open arms.”
Rousey enjoyed a stunning first year in the company as she became RAW Women’s Champion four months after her debut, remained undefeated for an entire year and beat some of WWE’s biggest stars.
