The Hawks have been confirmed as the Brisbane Bullets’ first round NBL opponents at Nissan Arena on Saturday.
When the NBL announced a revised draw last Saturday for the opening round of the season, the Bullets’ opponent for this weekend was yet to be confirmed due to COVID-19-enforced travel restrictions, border closures and lockdowns.
“We are delighted to be able to confirm this Saturday’s game in Brisbane,” NBL commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said.
It will be great to have the NBL back in Brisbane and to be able to have fans live in venue for what should be a fantastic game to help open the new season.”
Capacity will be capped at 50 per cent at Nissan Arena in accordance with public
health directions.
The new season opens on Friday night when the Adelaide 36ers host Melbourne United at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
NBL Round One: Friday: Adelaide 36ers v Melbourne United, Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Saturday: Brisbane Bullets v The Hawks, Nissan Arena; Cairns Taipans v Sydney Kings, Cairns Pop-Up Arena.
