Boxing fans have expressed their fear for YouTuber and internet personality, Jake Paul, should he step in the ring with professional boxer Canelo Alvarez.
Paul's brother, Logan Paul, faced off with Floyd 'Money' Mayweather during the early hours of Monday morning in an exhibition bout – which went the full eight rounds.
And, Paul – who was ringside for the bout – called out Canelo, via Twitter, after the final bell had rung on the contest.
Mayweather, who is 44-years-old and has been retired for four years, went toe-to-toe with Logan, however, Canelo is still active, and he recently dropped Billy Joe Saunders.
One Twitter user noted this, and he said: "Jake Paul calling out Canelo legit might be suicidal cus bruh would really knock a few brain cells out his skull. That’s not a 44-year-old Floyd"
"Jake Paul calling out Canelo?????? natural selection," another was quick to add.
A third tweeted: "I hate a lot on Canelo, but @jakepaul doesn't have a chance against him."
Whilst, another user, warned Paul about the consequences: "Bro don’t disrespect Canelo, he would beat the ever-living s*** outta Jake Paul."
Could a Paul Canelo bout happen? Let us know in the comments section
Canelo – who is only six years older than Paul – has stepped into the 59 times, and in that time he only has one loss, to Mayweather.
Paul, on the other hand, has a 3-0 record, and his most recent victory was a KO when facing former-MMA athlete Ben 'Funky' Askren.
Should the two face off it would be a major step for the 'Youtube boxing invasion', and it would be the first time an active professional would step into the ring with an internet personality.
