Inside Mayweather’s wild birthday party where he gave Paul fight update

Floyd Mayweather held a bizarre futuristic party on Thursday night ahead of his birthday on February 23.

The legendary boxer will turn 44 but has at least one more fight left in him.

Despite retiring in 2015, Money has re-entered the ring two times – beating Conor McGregor and Tenshin Nasukawa in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

And three years later, he will return for a third time – fighting YouTube star Logan Paul on this occasion.

But in the meantime, Mayweather has been partying it up in Florida – though the exhibition clash is still on his mind.

At Fort Lauderdale, the 15-world title winner rolled up to 'The Venue' for a massive birthday bash dubbed “Floyd's Futuristic 44th Birthday Extravaganza.”

He arrived in a $2m Bugatti, just one of several in his collection, draped in diamond chains.

When asked about his upcoming clash with Paul, he said: "I know it's going to happen.

"We just want make sure everything is right and everything is where it should be."

The party exemplified Mayweather's penchant for extravagance and the excessive, the venue being just one facet of a bountiful bonanza.

According to its website, the massive 32,000 square foot event space is ”outfitted with the most advanced technology in sound and lighting, special effects including laser capability and 3D projection mapping.”

Dashing around the location were women in skimpy outfits, rollerskating around with drinks and food.

Among the celebrity guests to attend were Rick Ross, Larsa Pippen, Jacquees and President Joe Biden's brother, Frank Biden.

There were reported Covid-19 protocols in place, with people screened at the door and temperatures taken – though it appears Mayweather did not wear a mask at all during the bash.
