Tony Bellew posts final message on Twitter ahead of Oleksandr Usyk fight

Tony Bellew has signed off from social media ahead of his final fight against Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday.

The cruiserweight will bid to inflict a first defeat on the Ukrainian – and take his four belts back to Liverpool.

And Bellew posted a final message on Twitter , thanking his fans for their support.

He wrote: "I’m gonna switch off from this soon enough but just want to say THANK YOU to all the people who have given me support going into this challenge!

"I’m genuinely shocked at how many there’s been. I’m happy you’ve seen the real me. I’m ready to give this EVERYTHING."

Usyk brings a formidable reputation to the Manchester Arena having won each of his 15 fights as a professional.

He won the World Boxing Super Series earlier this year when he outpointed Murat Gassiev in the final in Russia.

Following his fight with Bellew, Usyk is expected to move up to heavyweight where he could challenge Anthony Joshua .

Bellew, meanwhile, has vowed to retire regardless of the result.

"I genuinely believe I’m going to break his heart, I’m going to find a way, and I’m going to get past him," he said.

"I’ll take an awful lot from the big fights I’ve been in. Going and beating David Haye not once but twice. The amount of pressure I felt going into the Goodison Park fight, nothing can equal that, nothing can even get close.

"There’s no pressure on me going into this. The megastar has turned up. I’ll leave him to do what he’s doing, let him juggle the balls and do his crazy dances. He looks great, but I’m going to punch him in the face with everything I’ve got on Saturday night."

Bellew returns to cruiserweight following back-to-back victories over David Haye at heavyweight.
