Tyson Fury’s wife Paris has delivered an update on their new-born baby Athena’s condition by saying ‘she has a big day ahead’.
Athena was born on August 8 as the couple’s sixth child, with Tyson racing back from his fight camp in the United States to attend the birth, but she was quickly rushed into intensive care and put on a ventilator.
It appeared that her condition was improving and stable as the heavyweight boxing champion shared a picture on Instagram saying ‘she’s doing really good’, but was taken back to hospital on Tuesday.
Paris posted an update on her daughter’s condition on Instagram on Wednesday morning, showing pictures of Athena hooked up to wires.
She said: "My beautiful baby girl this morning.
"More awake now and sucking her dummy.
"She has a big day today. Please God, it goes well."
Tyson also posted a photo of his daughter on Tuesday after she was rushed back into intensive care.
He captioned the picture: "Baby Athena is back on ICU please keep her in your prayers."
Meanwhile, Fury has set up a GoFundMe page in order to raise donations for the Ronald McDonald House in Liverpool as an appreciation for looking after his daughter.
The donations towards Ronald McDonald House, which is part of Liverpool’s Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, have reached over £32,000.
Fury is set to take on Deontay Wilder in the third fight on October 9, having outclassed his rival in their previous bout.
