The UFC stands alone as the premier MMA organisation in the world but Bellator has long been considered by many to be the No 2.
Now though, there are a number of promotions across the world with a growing influence that White believes have eclipsed Bellator.
Dana White struck out at Bellator and said ‘there’s not much to be interested in’
They announced a deal to sign former UFC light-heavyweight star Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson this week but White has not been impressed.
He told TSN: ‘Really, if you look at Bellator, there’s not much to be interested in.
‘There’s much better promotions all over the world that are actually dealing in up-and-coming talent.
‘There’s lots of great shows to watch all over the world. All you (media) talk about are two, when there are plenty of other places.’
Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson signed for Bellator recently, having retired from the UFC
Bellator have the likes of Douglas Lima (left) on their roster but lack the depth of the UFC
ONE Championship in Asia has found huge success, Cage Warriors and KSW are leading lights in Europe and PFL in the United States are also making waves.
Bellator can lay claim to having some hugely talented fighters on their books too with the likes of Patricio Freire, Gegard Mousasi, Douglas Lima and Michael ‘Venom’ Page.
