UFC 255 start time, card, PPV price & odds for Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Alex Perez

The flyweights take center stage at Saturday’s UFC 255 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

In the main event, Deiveson Figueiredo defends the flyweight championship against Alex Perez. The co-main event features one of the best women’s fighters in the world, Valentina Shevchenko putting her flyweight title on the line vs. Jennifer Maia.

Figueiredo captured the vacant belt, plowing through Joseph Benavidez by first-round submission to win his first world title at the end of July. Initially, Figueiredo had been set for his first title defense with former bantamweight titlist Cody Garbrandt. But in October, Garbrandt tore his bicep and was pulled from the card. Perez, who had been set to take Brandon Moreno at the show, slides into the position with a golden opportunity.

Perez entered the UFC through the Dana White’s Contender Series. He’s made the most of his opportunity by going 6-1 with four of those victories via stoppage.

After losing a split decision to current dual champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 215, Shevchenko has gone on an absolute tear, dominantly winning five consecutive bouts with three of those victories coming inside the distance. In her last time out, Shevchenko destroyed Katlyn Chookagian via third-round TKO at UFC 247 to defend her championship for the third time.

Maia earned her first UFC title shot by winning three of her last four, including a first-round submission of Joanne Calderwood at the beginning of August.

Will Figueiredo and Shevchenko continue their title reigns, or can Perez and Maia pull off the upsets?
