What channel is Nets vs. Celtics on tonight? Time, TV schedule for 2021 NBA Wednesday game

On Wednesday, the Nets and Celtics will meet for the first time this season.

It’ll mark the first time the two teams have played against each other since their first-round matchup in the 2021 NBA Playoffs. The series ended in a gentleman’s sweep, with the Nets winning 4-1.

This time around, the Nets will be without Kyrie Irving, who remains away from the team until he’s compliant with local COVID-19 protocols. Additionally, the Celtics will have their second-leading scorer in Jaylen Brown, who missed the series after undergoing season-ending wrist surgery.

POWER RANKINGS: What the Nets and Celtics are most thankful for

The Celtics got off to a bit of a slow start this season, but they’re working their way back up the Eastern Conference standings, having won seven of their last 10 games. Jayson Tatum has been on fire lately, entering Wednesday’s matchup having scored 30 or more points in four straight games.

Tatum’s play as of late caught the eye of NBA legend Bill Russell.

The Nets also got off to a slower start than expected this season, but they quickly bounced back and now sit at the top of the Eastern Conference standings with a 13-5 record. Kevin Durant continues to post some of the best numbers of his career and James Harden is starting to find his groove, averaging 23.9 points, 9.1 assists and 7.8 rebounds on 45.1 percent shooting from the field in his last nine games.

Durant stands to make history against the Celtics, as he’s only two points away from surpassing Allen Iverson for 25th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

In addition to being an opportunity to see two of the Eastern Conference’s best go head-to-head, Wednesday’s contest will be an opportunity to see two of the league’s best duos battle.
