The Giants have landed one of the best offensive weapons on the free agent market.
Wide receiver Kenny Golladay has agreed to terms with the Giants, a person with knowledge of the situation told NorthJersey.com on Saturday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been publicly announced.
The 6-foot-4, 218-pounder is a massive presence who will provide a missing component on the outside in the Giants' offense and a reliable target downfield for QB Daniel Jones, whose development is critical heading into his third season.
Golladay has two 1,000-yard receiving seasons in four years with the Lions and is just one year removed from a league-leading 11 touchdown catches. The 27-year-old began his visit with the Giants on Thursday night, and that continued through Friday morning, including a physical and meetings with team brass, including head coach Joe Judge.

There have been questions regarding Golladay's departure in Detroit from a medical standpoint — a hip injury and ensuing hamstring issue limited him to five games last season.
Golladay averaged 67.5 catches, 1,127 yards and eight touchdowns over the 2018-19 seasons. He made his first Pro Bowl in 2019, when he led the NFL with 11 touchdown catches and had a career-high 1,190 yards.
