NFL: Brady and Mahomes prepare for Super Bowl LV
Patrick Mahomes is looking to make it back-to-back Super Bowl triumphs with the Kansas City Chiefs tonight, when they take on six-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneer at the Raymond James Stadium at 11.30pm UK time.
The NFL’s youngest ever regular season and Super Bowl MVP after leading the Chiefs to victory over the San Francisco 49ers 12 months ago, it’s easy to forget Mahomes is only in his third season as a starting quarterback.
He’s already regarded by many as the finest in the NFL right now, which is a mighty achievement in itself.
The 25-year-old comes up against many people’s ‘Greatest of All Time’ in looking to topple four-time Super Bowl MVP Brady, who has only ever been bettered by two other QBs in his previous nine appearances in the NFL championship game.
Eli Manning managed it twice with the New York Giants while the Philadelphia Eagles’ Nick Foles also defeated Brady’s Patriots, with Mahomes looking to be next to join a very exclusive club.
As he prepares for the challenge of taking on 43-year-old Brady, Celebrity Net Worth say Mahomes’ net worth currently stands at $30m, but that will only rise over the coming years.

The former Texas Tech QB, who was drafted 10th by Kansas City in 2017, signed an incredibly lucrative 10-year contract last summer worth up to $503m through the 2031 season.
Mahomes’ contract is officially worth $450m with the rest made up in bonuses, making his contract the second most valuable in all of sport, behind only Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi.
The Chiefs talisman stands to become the highest earning NFL player of all time, with that honour currently beloging to New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who has made just shy of $295m to date.
By the end of his current contract, Mahomes will be 36, still seven years younger than the Buccaneers’ Brady.
At present, Mahomes has only earned around $25m but his annual salary will improve to $45m a year on average from 2022 when his new contract fully kicks in.
But he will be keen to back that up with continued achievements on the field as he looks to help the Chiefs become the first franchise since the Patriots in 2004 and 2005 to win back-to-back Super Bowls.
Kansas City’s 2020 triumph over the 49ers was their first appearance in the big game in 50 years but they will hope for many more in the years to come with Mahomes at the helm.
And on top of his huge salary, Mahomes is bound to make more money in endorsements, which currently include the likes of Adidas and State Farm.
His net worth will only skyrocket from here on out, it appears.
