Tom Brady has been among the NFL’s elite on the all-time passing list, but he could pass two legends with a big performance in Week 5.
The Patriots quarterback enters the weekend fourth on the all-time passing list with 71,575 career passing yards. While Brady is still a ways from challenging Drew Brees (74,845) for the top spot, he could pass No. 3 Brett Favre (71,838) and No. 2 Peyton Manning (71,940) against the Redskins on Sunday.
New England’s signal-caller could pass Favre against with 264 yards passing yards, which is certainly conceivable. Brady has reached at least that mark in Weeks 1, 2 and 3 before being held to 150 passing yards against the Bills in Week 4.
However, Brady would need at least 365 yards to catch Manning in Week 5, a mark he hasn’t reached since 2017.
