Tom Lynch has been cited by match review officer Michael Christian for his slap to the back of Alex Witherden's head but the Richmond spearhead is free to take on ladder-leaders Port Adelaide on Saturday.
Lynch can accept a $500 fine for misconduct in relation to the incident during the Tigers’ win over the Brisbane Lions on Tuesday night at Metricon Stadium.

Having tackled Lions defender Witherden to the ground as the Brisbane player got his kick away, Lynch then used an open palm to slap the back of Witherden's head. Witherden was not hurt and played out the match.
The incident was below the force required to constitute a strike but Christian has nevertheless taken a dim view of Lynch's act.
Speaking on Fox Footy, St Kilda great Nick Riewoldt said there was no room in the game for those sorts of actions.
"I think it's got to be down to the players as a fraternity to come together and get rid of that stuff that's crept in," Riewoldt said,
"I don't think it does anyone any favours. It doesn't look good for Tom Lynch, it doesn't look good for the game."
Witherden's teammate Harris Andrews can meanwhile accept a $1000 fine for rough conduct in relation to a dangerous tackle laid on Lynch during the same game.
