Relegated Saracens have sounded out the Springboks about playing a showpiece match at Allianz Park.

The club have close links to South Africa and have held initial talks about staging the fixture at the end of the autumn internationals.

As revealed by the Mail on Sunday last week, the fallen giants are looking at innovative ways of managing household names such as Owen Farrell and Maro Itoje.
