Arne Slot says he is STAYING at Feyenoord in huge blow for Tottenham

BREAKING NEWS: Feyenoord boss Arne Slot REJECTS the Tottenham manager’s job and reveals he wants to stay in Holland despite being Daniel Levy’s top target… leaving Spurs short on options

  • Mail Sport understood Slot was Spurs chief Daniel Levy’s top managerial target
  • But the 44-year-old will not be heading to England this summer, he has revealed
  • Instead, Slot has promised to build on his Dutch title success with Feyenoord

Arne Slot has revealed he is staying at Feyenoord this summer to ‘continue working on what we created last year’ after winning the Dutch title – coming as a major blow to Tottenham.

The 44-year-old, whose Feyenoord side were crowned Eredivisie champions earlier this month, appeared the frontrunner to take Spurs’ vacant managerial position at the end of the season.

Mail Sport understood he had been identified by Daniel Levy as the club’s top target to replace Antonio Conte, who was sacked back in March.

However, Levy has seemingly come up short in his bid to prise Slot away from Feyenoord, as he confirmed on Thursday that he will remain in charge of the club next season.

‘I have been hearing a lot of rumors going around about other club’s interest in me,’ Slot is quoted as saying by Dutch publication AD.

‘Although I am thankful my wish is to stay at Feynoord and continue working on what we created last year.’
