Arsenal are in need of another squad rebuild during this summer’s transfer window. Mikel Arteta has been linked with a host of potential new signings but will need to raise funds to bring in who he wants. Express Sport looks at seven players Arteta could offload to raise £131.4million, according to the players’ individual market values on transfermarkt.com.

Hector Bellerin – £22.5m

Bellerin has fallen below both Cedric Soares and Calum Chambers in the right-back pecking order at the Emirates.

Arsenal need to improve in that position and Bellerin is still the most sellable asset out of the trio.

Sead Kolasinac – £7.2m

Staying in defence, Arteta made it clear he no longer wants Kolasinac by letting him rejoin Schalke on loan in January despite not having any other cover for left-back.

He has a year remaining on his contract but has likely played his last game for the Gunners.

Lucas Torreira – £19.8m

Moving into midfield, Torreira looks likely to leave after spending this season on loan at Atletico Madrid.

Last week he declared he does not want to play in Europe anymore following the death of his mother.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – £16.2m

The versatile England international has played in his preferred midfield role while on loan at West Brom since January.

Arsenal are unlikely to offer Maitland-Niles a spot in midfield, so an exit seems inevitable.

Matteo Guendouzi – £18m

Guendouzi and Arteta fell out last season and the Frenchman has not been in the Arsenal squad since.

He has impressed at times on loan at Hertha Berlin this term but reports suggest Arteta is happy to cut ties completely with the player.

Alexandre Lacazette – £31.5m

Arsenal may be lucky to get the full £31.5m for Lacazette, seeing as though his contract expires in the summer of 2022.

However, he has never been able to produce the numbers Arsenal wanted and, with the forward turning 30 in May, a new deal may not be the wisest move from the Gunners.

Eddie Nketiah – £16.2m

Nketiah is England’s leading goalscorer at under-21 level but has seen his game time diminish to next to nothing at club level.

Arsenal need to refresh their frontline and selling Nketiah could contribute towards that.
