Arsenal suffered two further injury scares in the closing stages of extra-time against Sporting CP on Thursday night before they were dumped out of the Europa League on penalties. Having already lost defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu and William Saliba inside the first 20 minutes, Leandro Trossard and Oleksandr Zinchenko were both spotted nursing problems of their own right at the end of 120 minutes of gruelling action at the Emirates Stadium.
Trossard appeared to be limping after taking a heavy blow from a Sporting defender, although he was fine to convert his penalty during the shootout which will provide reassurance that he will be fine to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Zinchenko appeared to be clutching his hamstring sparking fears he may have picked up a muscle problem.
Given the Ukrainian had just played 120 minutes of football, the likelihood is that the left-back was in fact suffering from cramp.
Arsenal will be expected to assess both players on Friday ahead of the must-win home clash with Palace, who have now sacked head coach Patrick Vieira ahead of the meeting.

Should they be passed as fit, both players will be expected to start against the Eagles as the Gunners look to move eight points clear of Manchester City, who play Burnley in the FA Cup quarter-finals this weekend.
Both Tomiyasu and Saliba do not currently seem likely to be ready for the meeting with Palace as the medical team begin to assess their injuries sustained against Sporting.
Their manager Mikel Arteta is now concerned he could be without the defensive duo for the foreseeable future, he said: “Tomiyasu looks pretty serious, for his reaction straight away and what he said to me.
“Obviously, it’s very early and difficult to know. William, I don’t know. He had some discomfort and could not carry on, so we had to take him off.”

Tomiyasu was spotted walking through the mixed zone on crutches after the agonising defeat on Thursday evening.
There was no sign of any strapping as Saliba left the Arsenal dressing room in what could prove to be positive news for the Gunners.
The Frenchman has been at the heart of their rejuvenated backline this season, forming an impressive partnership with Gabriel Magalhaes.
Arsenal’s injury concerns come just days after Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag claimed the Gunners have been “lucky” with injuries this season.
“I see Arsenal, they almost have a squad that is totally available all the time,” Ten Hag said ahead of United’s Europa League last 16 second-leg against Real Betis.
Striker Eddie Nketiah is also still some way away from returning to action with his foot still in a protective boot.
On the plus side though for Arteta, Gabriel Jesus finally made his return to action after undergoing surgery on a knee issue sustained at the World Cup with Brazil.
The former Manchester City frontman played the opening 45 minutes against Sporting before being withdrawn.
