Arsenal: Has Arteta found a winning formula for Gunners?
Arsenal defender William Saliba was expected to become an important part of Arteta’s side this season, but he is still yet to make his first team debut under Mikel Arteta. The 19-year-old is now said to be weighing up his options after a disappointing six months in north London.
Arsenal defender William Saliba is reportedly ready to leave the club this month after showdown talks with chiefs.
Saliba is yet to make his first team debut under Mikel Arteta this season, despite not being allowed to leave on loan for another year.
The 19-year-old was believed to be close to rejoining Saint-Etienne for the season last summer, but the move fell through.
Saliba was expected to become an important part of Arteta’s side this campaign.
But after failing to make an impression, it appears he is ready to cut his ties to Arsenal completely.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, the Saliba and the Gunners have agreed that any opportunities for permanent or loan departures will be explored in January.
Dutch side PSV are said to have enquired about a loan move until the end of the season.
