Mesut Ozil does, however, return to the starting line-up after his impressive performance during the midweek defeat against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.

Granit Xhaka has been left out of the squad after the club captain finally issued an explanation for his reaction to fans’ jeers against Palace. Mesut Ozil has however been reinstated into the squad after impressing at Liverpool. Sead Kolasinac is recovering from a knock.

Willy Boly remains absent after undergoing surgery on his fibula while Morgan Gibbs-White is a doubt due to back pain.
