Bayern Munich get Bundesliga season off to a bang and go 4-0 up in 35 minutes

Bayern Munich are off to a flyer as they look to defend their Bundesliga crown for another season.

The Bavarian giants squared off with Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt away from home and Friday evening – and proceeded to brush them aside with ease. New megastar Sadio Mane was on the scoresheet as Bayern powered into a 4-0 lead after 35 minutes.

Resident wonderkid Jamal Musiala netted a brace, and the reigning champions went on to win 6-1. And football fans couldn't get enough of the impressive display from Bayern Munich on social media following the clash.

One fan tweeted: "Bayern Munich zzzz. Absolutely pointless it’s 5-0 now. It’s a shame cos there are some great clubs in Bundesliga, Cologne, Stuttgart, Borussia MGladbach, they just can’t get anywhere near cos of Germany’s club ownership rules."

"I think it’s time they move PSG to the Bundesliga, this is pure nonsense I wonder if Bayern fans even get excited about Bundesliga," a second joked. While a third added: "Farmer's league at its best. They still watch Bayern dominates for 10 years."

But, one fan defended the league: "People who truly believe Bundesliga is a farmers league, have no clue about this sport."
