Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel isn’t willing to wait and wants Erling Haaland signed ‘immediately’, reports say. The Borussia Dortmund star scored 40 goals across all competitions last term. And he could now be primed for a blockbuster move to the Premier League.

Chelsea are set to reshuffle their striker options as they look to win the Premier League title next time out.

Olivier Giroud looks to be heading out of the door, with AC Milan eager to secure the signing of the France international.

And Tammy Abraham may depart, too, with West Ham showing interest in the England international as they plan for life in the Europa League.

Regardless of what happens Chelsea are keen to win the race for Haaland, who also has admirers at Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

And BILD claim Tuchel wants the Norway international signed ‘immediately’ and isn’t willing to wait.

Next summer, Haaland will be available for £66million due to a clause in his contract – making him a bargain in today’s world.

But though Chelsea will have to spend even more than that on the striker this summer, Tuchel is unfazed and wants Roman Abramovich to sanction a deal.

While that’s the case, however, the publication also states it’s extremely unlikely Chelsea will be able to acquire the 20-year-old this summer.

Dortmund have already sanctioned the departure of Jadon Sancho, who is set to complete his £73m move to Manchester United once Euro 2020 comes to an end.

And with the Bundesliga side now under no financial obligation to sell, Haaland looks poised to stay at the Westfalenstadion for next season.

What Chelsea then decide to do next remains to be seen.

Romelu Lukaku is one alternative, with the Belgium international taking Serie A by storm ever since leaving United for Inter Milan back in the summer transfer window of 2019.

But the Scudetto holders have made the striker unsellable, considering him a vital asset and one too good to lose.

Chelsea have also been linked with Antoine Griezmann, especially given the financial crisis currently engulfing Barcelona.

The Catalan giants are unable to register any new signings due to their wage bill and, in order for that to happen, need some of their best players to depart.

Griezmann has toiled during his two years at the Nou Camp but showed at the European Championships that, if played right and given backing, he’s capable of the sublime.

And Chelsea will likely soon make a decision over whether to go after Haaland with everything they have now, or risk being in a bidding war 12 months down the line.

Meanwhile, former Blues star Emmanuel Petit recently had his say on Haaland.

And he claimed his old side should do everything possible to acquire the Dortmund star, saying: “I’ll keep it simple.

“Olivier Giroud is on his way out of Chelsea, Tammy Abraham is probably leaving on loan, and Timo Werner is still struggling to score goals consistently and Kai Havertz is not a striker.

“Chelsea need a new striker and someone who scores lots of goals. Erling Haaland is the answer.

“He’s strong, powerful and young with a bright future in front of him.

“Haaland’s value is already very high, and connections with Tuchel increase his chance of joining Chelsea.

“Offensively, he could become the finisher that Chelsea really need. “I can imagine his relationship with [Mason] Mount, Havertz, [Christian] Pulisic and [Hakim] Ziyech making him score lots of goals at Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea need a top striker, it’s as simple as that.”
