Chelsea are facing Real Madrid for the fifth time in European competition and they are unbeaten against them in the previous four (W2 D2).

This will be the first time across the five meetings that Chelsea have hosted the Spanish side.

The Belgian forward has only started one game since January due to knee problems.

Tnings have not gone to plan for him since his big money move from Chelsea but that could all be forgotten if he fires them into the biggest game in club football.

The blues started really well in Madrid and took a deserved lead thanks to a fine finish from Pulisic.

However, Karim Benzema leveled midway through the first half with an acrobatic effort.

Tuchel’s men had the better of the second half but couldn’t find a second.

One change from the first leg as Kai Havertz, fresh off his two goals against Fulham on Saturday, comes in for last week’s goalscorer Christian Pulisic.

Starting XI: Mendy, Rudiger, Silva, Christensen, Chilwell, Jorginho, Kante, Azpilicueta, Mount, Havertz, Werner.

Subs: Arrizabalaga, Caballero, Alonso, Zouma, James, Emerson, Ziyech, Gilmour, Pulisic, Abraham, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi.

Eden Hazard starts against his former club while injured defenders Rafael Varane and Dani Carvajal are replaced by Ferland Mendy and returning club captain Sergio Ramos coming in.

Starting XI: Courtois, Militao, Ramos, Nacho, Mendy, Modric, Casemiro, Kroos, Hazard, Benzema, Vinicius.

Subs: Lunin, Altube, Odriozola, Gutierrez, Isco, Valverde, Arribas, Blanco, Marcelo, Asensio, Diaz, Rodrygo.

And welcome to Sportsmail’s live coverage of Chelsea’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid.

The tie is finely poised after a 1-1 draw in Spain last week.
