Cristiano Ronaldo explains his post-Juventus retirement plans

Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up on what he plans to do once he calls time on his football career.

The Juventus star, 34, still looks like he could play for another few years at the peak of his powers.

But Ronaldo has other ideas, mainly due to the success he has had since branching out into the world of business in recent years.

The attacker has multiple sponsorships with huge corporations such as Nike, KFC, Pepsi and Armani.

And he wants to become even more successful with his business enterprises when he retires.

"I still love football. I love to entertain the fans and the people who love Cristiano," he told SportBIBLE.

"It doesn't matter the age, it's all about mentality.

"The last five years I start to enjoy this process of seeing me outside of football, so who knows what will happen in the next year or two?"

Ronaldo could stay in football after retiring, either as a coach or a pundit.

But the Portuguese looks set to follow in the footsteps of LeBron James, Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan, all of whom still earn millions from their respective advertising campaigns.

"I do not want to imitate anybody," he added.

"You have to be yourself all the time, but you can always pick up small details and take something from good examples, not only in football but in other sports as well – Formula 1, NBA, golf, UFC, whatever. The best athletes have a similar work ethic.

"Even the CEOs of great companies are always motivated and they have to work hard to achieve good things."
