Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister Katia has liked a post on Instagram which has urged the striker to leave Manchester United at the end of the season amidst the torrid form the Red Devils have endured throughout the season.

United currently lie sixth in the Premier League, and have recorded their lowest points total since the Premier League began in 1992. Ronaldo has been one of their only shining stars this season, scoring 24 goals in just 39 games as United enter their fifth year without a major trophy.

And his sister has now fuelled rumours that he could leave after liking a post stating that the Portuguese star should depart the club in summer before Erik ten Hag starts his rebuild of the club. A user named cr7.o_lendario posted a photo on Instagram claiming that the star should leave if he was to achieve better things in the game.

And it went viral after Katia liked it, adding to rumours that the Real Madrid hero will indeed move on. David Beckham, who left the Red Devils for Real Madrid just months before Ronaldo arrived for his first stint at the club, said that he hopes Ronaldo stays in the north west regardless of which tournament United star in.

“Cristiano is one of the best players over the last 15 years with Leo [Lionel Messi]. To hopefully see him stay on at United is important for the fans,” Beckham said to Sky. “It is important to him and we all know how much Man United means to him. He is still doing what he does best; scoring goals and creating.

“To be doing what he is doing at his age is really incredible, so hopefully it continues and he stays for another year or two.” The star also admitted that huge changes are needed at the Theatre of Dreams if the club is to become a global powerhouse once again.

“I think there are changes that need to be made and changes that are happening, and we have seen that,” Beckham continued. “It is a tough end to the season, but it is the end of the season and I am sure the fans are thankful for that because it has been a tough one.

“It has been full of ups and downs and the players have done what they could do best, and so has the manager as well. But you still turn up at the stadium and I turned up at the stadium a few months back and every seat was filled.”

Ronaldo’s last game at United could come in the final day clash at Crystal Palace. If he is to leave, the star will surely look back with regret at his second spell in Manchester.
