England’s ‘biggest army of WAGS’ to join Three Lions stars at Qatar World Cup

England are reportedly set to be joined on their travels by more of their loved ones than ever at the Qatar World Cup.

The majority of Gareth Southgate's squad are planning on taking their families with them as they jet off to the gulf nation next week. And according to The Mirror, there will be the Three Lions' biggest ever army of WAGs at an overseas tournament.

Many of them socialised during Euro 2020 last year as their beaus made it all the way to the final. They then reunited in the summer to celebrate Harry Maguire's wedding to Fern Hawkins, 28, in France and Jordan Pickford's wedding to Megan Davison, 26, in the Maldives.

A source said: "A group of the WAGs became very close at Fern and Megan’s weddings in the summer. They are going to stay together in close-knit groups to avoid any problems when they go out."

Maguire will have eight of his family supporting him – his wife, their two children, his parents, two brothers, and sister. They're set to be joined on the journey by the Pickford clan which includes three-year-old son Arlo.

Jack Grealish’s girlfriend Sasha Attwood, 25, will also be in the travelling group, as too will Luke Shaw’s partner Anouska Santos, who's said to be taking their two children, a nanny, hairdresser, and beautician.

Captain Harry Kane is likely to be joined by wife Katie Goodland and their two children, as too will Kieran Tripper. His wife Charlotte has vowed to take son Jacob, six, and daughter Esme-Rose, three, saying: "I would take the kids. It is a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

"Jacob is obsessed with his daddy and football – all he talks about is football. It will be a great experience, but hard work!"

While the WAGs will be close by, they'll have to keep their distance as the England squad will be placed in a strict Covid bubble at their accommodation, the Souq Al Wakra hotel in Doha.

Most of the families will be staying on the £1billion luxury cruise liner MSC World Europa, with five-star packages costing up to £6,000 during the tournament. The FA are said to have helped with some costs for the players’ families, but they are paying for most of it themselves.

And while the WAGs steal the headlines, there will also be England's very own 'Dad's Army' in Qatar. Kane’s dad Pat, and Sean Rice, father of midfielder Declan, will be amongst the proud fathers.
