Premier League fans joked they "can't wait to hear from Howard Webb" after Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes avoided a red card against Leicester City.
The Brazilian was only booked by referee Andre Marriner after his right boot connected studs up above the knee of opposition midfielder Boubakary Soumare within the first 10 minutes at St James' Park.
VAR official Darren England decided the yellow sufficed and no further action was taken, infuriating many viewers who wanted to see Webb analyse the call following his appearance on Monday Night Football seven days ago.

One tweeted: "Look forward to hearing the VAR conversation with Howard Webb after the game." A second wrote: "Can't wait to hear the live feed of this one – @Carra23 get Howard Webb back on."
A third commented: "Can Howard Webb give us an explanation for this one?" A fourth asked: "Howard Webb, where is the audio???"
And a fifth questioned: "Shame Howard Webb isn't there to explain that ridiculous decision, how is that not a red?"

A sixth fumed: "Leicester are in a relegation battle and this isn't a red card. just disgraceful officiating yet again. But argh it's ok cause we had Howard Webb on MNF one week.
"Sound that. They need to be held accountable the repercussions this may have on Leicester's future is insane."
PGMOL chief Webb made media appearances to discuss VAR last week having issued a number of apologies throughout the season for mistakes that have been made.
He talked through a series of incidents, with fans given an insight into the discussions held between officials. While it was never-seen-before footage, the MNF coverage was criticised for only featuring less controversial calls.
