Fans of Championship club losing will to live after five 0-0s in first six games

Fans of one Championship football club are falling asleep watching their side week-in week-out.

Those supporting Preston North End are having to head to the concourse each week to grab a coffee to keep them awake as their side has managed five 0-0 draws in the first six games. The only game not to finish as a scoreless draw wasn't much more exciting as the side managed a 1-0 win over Luton Town, with it not even coming at home for the fans of the Lancashire side.

Fans may have been mistaken into thinking it was going to be an exhilarating season, with the side managing four goals against Huddersfield in the first round of the Carabao Cup but in the league it has been a slow burner. Fans have taken to Twitter to share their frustrations as well as rival fans poking fun at the goal drought going on a Deepdale.

A Cardiff fan tweeted after his side managed a 0-0 draw at home to the side yesterday: "Preston by far the most boring team in football the world has ever seen."

A page set up to share where Preston had most recently lost at has even admitted that it may need to change its account name. The page wrote: "Winning, losing, scoring and conceding.

"In fact, the only thing they win at is being boring. Might have to change my name to 'Preston got 0-0 at'."

One Swansea fan made an honest admission, they wrote: "F**k being a Preston fan, must be awful. The amount of 0-0’s already this season. Such dire, boring football. They’ll still probably put 4 past the Swans when we play them."

One Preston fan labelled the lack of scoring power up front as a joke, he said: "I get we’re unbeaten, but where is the investment in the striking department? It’s a bit of a joke now."

One fan complained it was painful watching their side. He wrote: "Another painful watch."
