Erling Haaland has left fans in stitches by singing the Champions League anthem before Borussia Dortmund's match against Manchester City.

The Norwegian was getting ready to take centre stage as the teams clashed at the Etihad Stadium for the first leg of the quarter-final.

With his future facing speculation, all eyes were on the 20-year-old as he faces a side expected to be in the hunt for his signature this summer.

And footage has emerged of the youngster getting himself psyched up for the match – by singing the famous Champions League song.

The tune, written in 1992 by Tony Britten and based on George Frideric Handel's "Zadok the Priest", is blasting out around the empty stadium.

With the teams lining up ahead of kick off, Haaland is caught on camera mouthing the words of the theme song.

The clip quickly earned thousands of views on Twitter, where fans were left in hysterics at the young goalscorer's antics.

"Haaland is so relaxed he's singing along with the Champions League song," one supporter said.

Another commented: "Something wrong in Haaland’s AI system there, singing the CL anthem like it’s a national anthem."

While a third was left impressed by the Norwegian, with: "Why's Haaland singing the Champions League theme like a national anthem – I rate it."

And a fourth added: "That has made my day."

A fifth suggested it was down to his affiliation with the competition, commenting: "Haaland actually singing the UCL theme song! Guy just loves the competition."

Haaland has 20 goals in just 14 Champions League appearances before the visit to City.
