Harvey Elliott has suffered a serious looking injury during Liverpool's clash with Leeds at Elland Road.
Pascal Strujik was sent off for the challenge with Elliott stretchered off.
It looked a fairly innocuous challenge though Elliott was in immediate pain while Mohamed Salah called for urgent treatment.
Sky refused to replay the tackle as a worried Jurgen Klopp looked on and some players covered their eyes.
Craig Pawson made the decision to send Strujik off while Elliott received treatment on the pitch.
He was stretchered off shortly after with the physios having initially ran on before the referee even brought a halt to play.
Elliott was seen applauding the Elland Road crowd as he was stretchered off while taking some pain-killing medication.
And he posted on Instagram before the match was over, stating the recovery starts now.
Dion Dublin said: "There was nothing wrong with the challenge. It was innocuous.
"We didn't see replays of the challenge, we don't know what it was like. I feel for Elliott; as soon as there was contact he looked over to the bench to say 'help me'. It was so distressing.
