Jack Grealish has excited Manchester City fans on social media as he seemingly looks to play his part in luring Jude Bellingham to the club this summer. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is set to be at the centre of a heavyweight transfer tussle at the end of the season.
Man City will reportedly join Liverpool and Real Madrid in the hunt for Bellingham’s signature, with Manchester United also holding a genuine interest.
Dortmund are claimed to value the 19-year-old at £110million, a fee that would make him the most expensive British player in history.
None other than Grealish himself currently holds that record after his £100m switch to Man City from boyhood club Aston Villa in 2021.
And he looks to have started attempts to persuade his England team-mate to follow in his footsteps and choose the Citizens this summer.
Bellingham commented on Manuel Akanji’s Instagram post on Thursday, tagging Dortmund pal Gio Reyna to say: “He’s changed.”
It prompted Grealish, now Akanji’s team-mate at the Etihad Stadium, to reply with a cheeky request: “Come to city xx.”

On Friday morning, the 27-year-old’s hilarious comment had amassed over 12,000 after initially being spotted by eagle-eyed fans.
Reports claim that Bellingham will decide on his future in the next few weeks, with talks ‘intensifying’ within his camp.
Liverpool have posed as favourites in recent months, with Steven Gerrard one of the Brummie superstar’s idols and Jurgen Klopp eyeing a midfield revamp.
But the Reds’ danger of missing out on Champions League football next season could prove fatal for their hopes of tempting Bellingham to land at Anfield.
Real also can’t be discounted after Bellingham’s father reportedly met a club chief in London for transfer talks before Dortmund’s Champions League game at Chelsea last week.

United are thought to have also reignited their interest after initially missing out on his services to the Bundesliga outfit when he left Birmingham City in 2020.
The Red Devils gave him and his family a tour of Carrington and arranged a meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson to convince him it was the right move.
But City are rightly among the favourites to snap up Bellingham this summer, given they are almost guaranteed to challenge for trophies with Pep Guardiola at the helm.
With England duty on the horizon this month, Grealish and others could be involved in some shifty politics as Bellingham’s judgement day looms ever larger.
