Jordan Henderson laughs off Robertson and Alisson dressing room fight rumours

Jordan Henderson has revealed that he and his Liverpool team-mates have been tickled by some of the wild rumours flying around during their recent slump in form.

And he admitted that the one which made him laugh the most, was about a punch up which supposedly took place between good friends Andy Robertson and keeper Alisson.

Speaking about wildfire speculation over the weekend that manager Jurgen Klopp was ready to walk away from the club after another shock defeat, the Reds skipper insisted he didn’t need to dignify such nonsense with a response.

But with a huge smile he said: “It doesn’t need me to say anything about something like that. Yeah not true. Someone is sitting behind a keyboard making up rumours about the manager or the players in the dressing room.

“I quite liked the one where Robbo and Ali were having a fight about something. That was probably…that made us chuckle a little bit!”

And in emphasising the fact their neither of the two rumours held any truth at all, Henderson added swiftly with a grin:

“Apart from that I didn’t really give it much thought. That was a rumour, I just enjoyed that rumour, that’s all…!”

Klopp was the subject of some intense speculation at the weekend, with many Liverpool fans convinced he had decided to quit after his press conference following the defeat at Leicester.

Huge rumours swept across social media speculation about his reasons for ‘quitting’, but as Henderson’s response illustrated, they were met with mocking disdain from within the club.
