Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller insists Kai Havertz will only leave if “certain requirements are met” amid talk of a potential move to Chelsea.
The Blues have reportedly identified Havertz as a top transfer target this summer, with Frank Lampard keen to bolster his squad ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech have already arrived at Stamford Bridge, while West Ham defender Declan Rice is also being linked with a move.
However, Chelsea’s current priority is to complete a deal for Havertz, who is said to be keen on joining them.
It is believed the 21-year-old played his last game for Leverkusen in Monday's 2-1 Europa League quarter-final defeat against Inter Milan.
But Voller has played down talk of an imminent exit for their star man, telling German publication Kicker: “No decision has been made yet.
“I’d like to repeat myself by emphasising that we’re talking about a wonderful footballer.
Chelsea to strengthen three more positions after completing Kai Havertz transfer
“There is nothing new in this regard. We have a clear and mutual agreement with him and his representatives that he can only leave if certain requirements are met.
“Otherwise he will stay.”
Leverkusen are demanding close to £90million for Havertz in the summer transfer window, but Chelsea believe they can strike a deal worth £70million.

Even if they pull it off, though, journalist Matt Law claims the west London club’s spending will not end there.
“When they get Kai Havertz over the line, which I think is a when rather than an if, I think the defensive positions, a left back, potentially a centre back, and a goalkeeper will take a lot longer,” he said on the London is Blue podcast.

Leicester star Ben Chilwell has also been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer, although reports suggest the Foxes have slapped a £75million price tag on the left-back.
Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Reguilon is another defender on their radar, while Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak is said to be a target.
