Klopp talks Liverpool line-up vs Man Utd and drops hint over team

Jurgen Klopp has hinted at fielding a strong starting XI when Liverpool take on Manchester United in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday afternoon.

The sides met only a week ago in the Premier League, playing out a goalless draw at Anfield, and will clash again; this time at United's Old Trafford home.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team currently boast a six-point advantage over Liverpool, after the Reds suffered a shock home defeat to Burnley on Thursday.

With many suggesting that Liverpool’s title hopes are slowly fading, it appears Klopp will be taking no chances as he eyes a shot at silverware.

“We want to win the game, that's clear,” he said ahead of this weekend’s cup encounter.

“The game will be decided on the night. That's how we will make the line-up.”

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were both rested ahead of Thursday’s contest with Burnley, though the attacking duo were both deployed in the second-half.

Klopp is yet to progress further than the fifth-round in the FA Cup during his time in charge at the club, meanwhile Solskjaer remains in search of his first trophy as United boss.

The two teams last met in this competition nine years ago at Anfield, with Dirk Kuyt firing an 88 th minute winner past David De Gea to secure progression into the fifth round.

The pair meet again on Sunday, this time at Old Trafford, with both sides expected to make plenty of changes to the teams which lined up for kick-off seven days earlier.

Liverpool boss Klopp will be keen to advance and get his side back to winning ways following a surprise slump in form, while Solskjaer will see the game as another chance to show his team are progressing into one capable of challenging for honours this season.
