Kylian Mbappe can leave Paris Saint-Germain 12 months earlier than first thought, according to reports.
Mbappe signed a new contract at PSG in the summer, ending speculation about his future. The 23-year-old had been linked with both Liverpool and Real Madrid before finally putting pen-to-paper on a new £650,000-per-week contract with the French champions.
The former Monaco man was supposed to have signed a three-year contract and even wore a shirt with 'Mbappe 2025' on the back following confirmation of the deal, signalling the length of time he would remain at PSG. But it has now emerged the youngster has only signed a two-year deal, with the third year an optional extension at Mbappe's discretion.

It means Mbappe is only contracted to PSG until the end of the 2023-24 season. He will enter the final 12 months of his deal at the end of the current campaign, putting the Parc des Princes club in the same position they found themselves in this time last year.
They will have to decide whether they want to try and get Mbappe to extend his deal further, sell him or let his contract run down and risk losing him on a free transfer the following summer.

News of Mbappe's contract situation will be music to the ears of the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool, both of whom have held an interest in the star in the past.
The Frenchman came extremely close to joining Los Blancos in the summer before deciding to remain at PSG. While Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted his interest in the forward in May.
He said: "So, about Kylian Mbappe…of course we are interested in Kylian Mbappe, we are not blind," before suggesting that some of the finances involved ruled Liverpool out of the running.
Mbappe himself revealed earlier this year that he spoke to Klopp about a move to the Reds during his time at Monaco. "I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool… I don’t know why, you will have to ask her." he said.
Adding: "It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club."
Speaking ahead of PSG's Champions League victory over Juventus last week, Mbappe refused to be drawn on how things have gone since his extension in the summer.
"This is neither the place nor the time and I am not the best person to answer this question. We are here to talk about a Champions League match," he said.
