Paul Heckingbottom is searching for a first win as Sheffield United’s interim manager and three points against Leeds would be particularly sweet.

He was in charge at Elland Road for four months before being replaced by Marcelo Bielsa, who took the club onto another level and up to the Premier League.

The Blades are rock bottom and heading back to the Championship while Leeds are sitting comfortably in 11th place

Patrick Bamford scored the only goal in the reverse fixture back in September at Bramall Lane with a clever header past Aaron Ramsdale in a game where both keepers excelled.

Bamford scored during Leeds’ last outing before the international break against Fulham to take his tally to 14 Premier League goals this season and will fancy his chances of adding to that number against a defence that shipped five at Leicester last time out.

Paul Heckingbottom’s Blades are unchanged.

Sheffield United (3-5-2): Ramsdale; Baldock, Jagielka, Stevens; Bogle, Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck, Osborn; McGoldrick, McBurnie. Subs: Foderingham, Burke, Lowe, Egan, Mousset, Ampadu, Bryan, Brewster, Ndiaye.

Leeds make just one change as captain Liam Cooper returns from injury to replace Pascal Struijk.

Leeds (4-1-4-1): Meslier; Ayling, Llorente, Cooper, Alioski; Phillips; Raphinha, Dallas, Roberts, Harrison; Bamford. Subs: Koch, Poveda, Casilla, Costa, Hernandez, Rodrigo, Struijk, Klich, Shackleton.

…and welcome to this afternoon’s Yorkshire derby between Leeds and Sheffield United! Team news coming right up.
