Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes to have Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba back in time for the weekend’s clash with Liverpool.
The trio missed the FA Cup win over Watford due to injury, and could be set to be out for Tuesday’s trip to Burnley.
The Red Devils take on reigning Premier League champions Liverpool on Sunday as the two teams battle it out at the top of the table.
And Solskjaer is optimistic his injured trio will be able to return for the weekend, saying: “I hope so. I hope all of them for Liverpool anyway.
“I’m not sure if they’ll make the Burnley one, but we have light training tomorrow [Sunday] and we’ll see on Monday.”
Defender Eric Bailly is also a doubt having suffered a neck injury during the win over Watford.
Solskjaer has said the centre-back did not suffer a concussion, though it could open the door for Axel Tuanzebe to feature.
After his fourth start of the season against Watford, Tuanzebe said of the upcoming fixtures: “We want to be top of the league and this is the time to do it.
