Just days remain before the January transfer window opens and Manchester United's pursuit of a right-back is ramping up.
United are keen to add a defender capable of competing with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and their search has only intensified in light of a recent knock to the former Crystal Palace star.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba has long been linked with a return to Juventus but the move has been thrown into doubt by the latest reports from the continent.
Daniel James is also linked with an Old Trafford exit and yet another suitor has reportedly joined the race for his services.
Here is Tuesday's Manchester United transfer round-up.
Trippier talks held
Manchester United have held talks with Atletico Madrid and England right-back Kieran Tripper, according to The Athletic .
The report adds Trippier – who came through the ranks at Manchester City – would consider a return to the Premier League after leaving Tottenham last year.
United are keen to add another right-back to their ranks and Trippier – who has four assists in 19 games this season – is a key target.
Juventus struggling to finance Pogba swoop
Juventus are struggling to finance a bid for Paul Pogba, meaning Real Madrid are still firmly in the running for the wantaway Manchester United midfielder.
That's according to Eurosport , which adds United may accept as little as £50million for the player they signed for £89million in 2016.
But Juventus have been hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic and cannot meet such a fee up front. Instead, the Serie A champions would prefer to use players in a part-exchange deal.

Baggies in for James
West Brom are the latest club to be linked with Daniel James amid mounting speculation about the winger's future with Manchester United.
Leeds have been credited with heavy interest in the Welshman in recent weeks, while Burnley and Brighton are also monitoring the situation.
West Brom boss Sam Allardyce is James' latest admirer and is keen to bring the 23-year-old to the Hawthorns on loan in January, reports the Daily Star.
James continues to favour staying at United to fight for his place and he has featured prominently in recent fixtures.
