Man Utd not meeting Sancho asking price is 'bizarre' says Cross
Manchester United appear to have changed their mind on Jadon Sancho. The Borussia Dortmund star was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top transfer target back in the summer but The Mirror claim interest has cooled, with the 20-year-old misfiring this term. So Express Sport will look at the four players that stance benefits.
Mason Greenwood
When United were expected to sign Sancho, it seemed as though Mason Greenwood would be the fall guy.
However, with the Borussia Dortmund star no longer a priority, the 19-year-old can rest a little easier.
It’s been a problematic campaign for Greenwood so far, with the England international finding the net just once in the Premier League.
But his talent is clear for all to see and he retains the full support of Solskjaer, who has defended him to the hilt.
With Sancho not expected to join, Greenwood has one less obstacle in his way as he looks to become a regular fixture in Solskjaer’s side.

Daniel James
United signed Daniel James from Swansea back in 2019, choosing the Wales international over Sancho at the time.
He’s since blown hot and cold for the Red Devils, much to the frustration of their supporters.
Yet James is another who can benefit.
The 23-year-old has shown glimpses of his best form in recent times, especially in the 6-2 victory over Leeds United.
And he’ll have one less rival to compete with for a starting berth.

Facundo Pellistri
Facundo Pellistri has talked regularly with Solskjaer, despite not being involved in the first-team at the current moment in time.
“Obviously, it’s very nice to hear that the manager speaks about you [as Solskjaer has during his press conferences] and I am in contact with him all the time,” he told their official website.
“He is giving me advice and asking me how I am doing and how I am feeling. That, for me, is very important and I am really thankful to him.”
Pellistri signed instead of Sancho back in the summer.
And he’ll now have a clearer path to regular football at the highest level.
Amad Diallo
United announced on deadline day they’d agreed a fee to sign Amad Diallo from Atalanta, after years of extensive scouting.
He’s poised to link up with his new team-mates for the first time later this week.
And with Diallo playing in the same position as Sancho, United’s stance will benefit the 18-year-old as well.
He’s forged a big reputation for himself already, with some even comparing him to Lionel Messi.
And whether he can show his class in England is something only time will tell.
