Manchester United arrive late AGAIN for Champions League clash despite staying in hotel just 250 yards away from Old Trafford
Manchester United arrived late for a second Champions League game in a row despite staying at a hotel just 250 yards away from Old Trafford on Monday night.
United’s bus pulled into the ground less than an hour before the 8pm kick-off at 7.09, though Jose Mourinho had arrived earlier after walking half a mile from the cricket ground.
The club were fined £13,202 just last week for turning up late for the goalless draw against Valencia earlier this month.

By choosing the Hilton Garden Inn, Mourinho’s men were just 250 yards from the ground
Mourinho was left furious after traffic congestion delayed their arrival that time, and told BT Sport before Tuesday’s kick-off: ‘You know we change the hotel, the hotel is around the corner.
‘The players are in the bus for 45 minutes but I walked in the middle of the fans, nobody recognised me.
‘I took two minutes but what I did in two minutes the players couldn’t do in 45 minutes.
‘Juventus had the same problems but I informed the Uefa delegate because we don’t want to be fined again.’

Mourinho confirmed to BT Sport that the bus had been stuck in traffic on its way to the game
Mourinho was in a more conciliatory mood than when he blamed Greater Manchester Police for their last late arrival.
He accused GMP of refusing to provide the bus with a suitable escort to the ground from the Lowry Hotel.
They had scrapped their usual routine of staying at the city centre Lowry Hotel, electing to use the Hilton hotel instead.
