Pablo Fornals second-half strike gave West Ham their first points of the 2022-23 Premier League season as they beat Aston Villa 1-0. 

The Spaniard’s goal took a huge deflection of a diving Ezri Konsa to take it past Emiliano Martinez, but that will not matter to the Hammers. who also managed their first goal of the campaign. 

Steven Gerrard’s side, with only one win so far this season, were subjected to boos at the end of the match as the Aston Villa faithful made their thoughts known.
