The bus taking Manchester United women to their friendly with Maltese side Birkirkara was left stranded after the road collapsed beneath it.
The Red Devils had been at a warm weather training camp on the island – where they were scheduled to face the side. United were scheduled to face the Maltesese side in Paola at 5pm GMT, and the game got underway in time.
Despite the mishap, the Red Devils still ran out 10-0 winners with Alessia Russo and Vilde Boe Risa both finding the net twice. Lucia Garcia, Grace Clinton, Jade Moore, Nikita Parris, Rachel Williams and Martha Thomas all added to the scoreline.
