Thomas Partey has given Arsenal an injury worry after he could be seen icing his thigh in the stands as Mikel Arteta's side suffered a shock 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa.
Star signing Partey was replaced by Dani Ceballos at half-time with the Gunners trailing 1-0 in Sunday's Premier League clash at the Emirates.
The £45million deadline day capture emerged for the second half but watched from the stands as in-form Villa striker Ollie Watkins scored twice to add to Bukayo Saka's first-half own goal.
As if the result wasn't bad enough for Arsenal, the sight of Partey icing what appeared to be a thigh injury will give Gunners boss Arteta a headache.
Ghana midfielder Partey excelled in last weekend's win over Manchester United, but appeared to sustain an injury in a clash with Emiliano Martinez, who joined Villa from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
And Arteta will hope the 27-year-old's knock is not too serious as he looks ahead to his side's next fixtures.
The international break will at least give Partey time to recover before Arsenal bid to bounce back from their Villa defeat when they return to Premier League action away to Leeds on November 22.
After Europa League wins over Molde and Dundalk sandwiched last weekend's victory at Old Trafford, the Gunners were brought back down to earth as Villa left the Emirates with all three points.
Villa thought they had taken a very early lead when John McGinn netted after 48 seconds, but the goal was disallowed after a lengthy VAR check.
But the visitors weren't deterred, bossing the game and taking a deserved lead when Saka turned Matt Targett's cross into his own net.
And Villa sealed victory in the second half when Watkins scored twice in three minutes to take his Premier League goals haul to six from seven appearances.
Arsenal slipped to 11th place in the table following the defeat, while Villa are up to sixth.
