Tottenham have reportedly highlighted three possible centre-back targets ahead of the summer transfer window as Daniel Levy looks to significantly strengthen at the heart of defence. It’s an area that has proved problematic for Spurs this season with Jose Mourinho unable to settle on a first-choice pairing.
Earlier in the campaign, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez were Mourinho’s favourite partnership.
But that soon changed when Toby Alderweireld forced his way back into the side alongside Dier.
Since then Dier has found himself on the bench as Sanchez and Alderweireld were given a run of games alongside one another.
Joe Rodon has also featured from time to time but Tottenham have lacked leadership since the departure of Jan Vertonghen.

Football.London claim Spurs want a new talisman at the back this summer, somebody who can take responsibility and lead the side.
The report also lists three targets, the first of which is Fulham loanee Joachim Andersen.
The 24-year-old has been an excellent coup for the Cottagers since he arrived on loan from Lyon in 2020.
He has even worn the captain’s armband under Scott Parker having led by example.

Lyon chief Juninho has already made it clear the club could sell him to Fulham this summer, opening the door for Tottenham to hijack the deal, particularly if the Whites are relegated.
Manchester United target Nikola Milenkovic is also on the agenda for Tottenham.
He has just one year remaining on his current deal with Fiorentina, meaning he could be available at a cut-price.
The Serbian is one of the names under consideration by the Old Trafford hierarchy, as they look to strengthen defensively.
Alternatively, Brighton’s Lewis Dunk is also under consideration despite being tied down to a long-term contract.
The Seagulls skipper turns 30 in November, something that could hinder his chances of landing a big move.
Dunk has previously been considered by Chelsea but the Blues have cooled their interest.
Any transfer is likely to hinge on how much Tottenham will have to spend this summer, with other areas of their squad also in need of investment.
