Trent Alexander-Arnold injury: Liverpool suffer major blow as star limps off vs Man City

Liverpool suffered another injury blow as Trent Alexander-Arnold limped off in the Premier League match against Manchester City. The Reds star pulled up after a sprint and held his right calf before being replaced by James Milner.

The extent of the injury is not known but the England international was able to walk off the pitch of his own accord.

The Reds are already without Virgil van Dijk who has undergone knee surgery and is expected to be out for most of the remainder of this season.

Alexander-Arnold went down holding his calf and Jurgen Klopp had no hesitation in replacing the full-back with Milner.

The 22-year-old was meant to be joining up with England after the match with City although that would now appear unlikely.
