Manchester United are planning to bide their time on Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, reports say. Ed Woodward is close to completing a blockbuster deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, who is their top transfer target. And it seems the club are happy to wait and see what happens with Grealish before going after the 24-year-old as well.
Sancho should be a Manchester United player by the end of the week, with the 20-year-old supposedly excited to be making the move to Old Trafford.
He’s not the only player on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s radar, however, with the Norwegian also eyeing another playmaker.
United have seen Bruno Fernandes shine at the club since his January transfer from Sporting Lisbon but Solskjaer wants more as he targets Premier League title glory.
The Daily Mail say, however, that the Red Devils will bide their time on Grealish.
It’s said they’re happy to wait until the latter stages of the transfer window, with Villa demanding £80million to let their prized asset go.

United would rather blow the bulk of their budget on signing Sancho.
And Villa are under no financial pressure to sell their captain, with Grealish’s goal on the final day of the season ensuring they remain in the top flight.
Any potential move for the 24-year-old was recently endorsed by Red Devils legend Ryan Giggs, who expressed a belief he’d be a good acquisition for Solskjaer’s side.
“I think the thing with Grealish is he’s obviously used to the Premier League and doesn’t need to adapt to it so that’s good.
“For me from the outside, it looks like he’s got the mentality to come to this place and not bother him. Certain players can get overawed.

“Also, the good thing this year is he’s got ten goals and got into double figures so that would be one question mark I would have had with him: does he score enough goals?
“To get to double figures with no penalties for Villa is impressive.”
Giggs also hailed Sancho, praising his footballing intelligence at a time where United are close to getting him in the door.
“Sancho is quick, direct but also an intelligent player,” added the Wales boss.
“What I like about him is when he gets into them areas with the final ball, he doesn’t panic. A lot of quick wide players sometimes do but he picks out the right pass.

“He’s someone who can counter-attack if we’re going to play that but also if a team are going to sit back, he can beat players and make things happen.
“They are two signings that may be available and if we’re able to get them, I would go and get them.”
While United have transfer interest in Grealish, they’ve also been linked with alternatives.
One of those is Donny van de Beek, with the Ajax star eager to leave the Dutch giants for a new challenge elsewhere.
But only time will tell as to who Solskjaer ultimately ends up going after.
