Cristiano Ronaldo told by pal Khabib Nurmagomedov to shun PSG for England move

UFC legend Khabib Nurmagmedov has urged Cristiano Ronaldo to shun a move to PSG and return to England this summer instead.

Ronaldo is set to enter the final year of his contract with Juventus this season and is reportedly keen on a move away from The Old Lady.

While Juventus are yet to receive any official offers for Ronaldo, Man City and PSG are widely considered front-runners to sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, with both clubs willing to pay CR7 a staggering weekly wage.

Rumours of Ronaldo’s impending move have captivated football fans for the last few weeks, but the Portuguese star is yet to discuss his preferred destination.

However, his friend, former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, has explained where he would prefer Ronaldo to land before the transfer window slams shut.

"In my opinion, it would be better if Cristiano changed team,” Nurmagomedov told Russian news outlet RT.

"No offense to Juventus fans. PSG? No, they have enough of their own stars. If he moved to England at the end of his career, I would be interested."

Nurmagomedov has widely spoken of his love for football throughout his MMA career. The Eagle has previously claimed Real Madrid are his “dream club” and Ronaldo is among his favourite players ever.

Since meeting for the first time in 2018, Nurmagomedov and Ronaldo have formed a close friendship and reportedly speak to one another almost every day.

Strangely, Ronaldo is also a close friend of Nurmagomedov's bitter rival, Conor McGregor, and has been snapped with the Irishman numerous times over the years.

However, the strength of Nurmagomedov and Ronaldo's friendship was clear to see following the Eagle's decision to retire from MMA.

Following his retirement, which came after the tragic death of his father and coach, Abdulmanap, Ronaldo was one of the first to congratulate him on his incredible career.

The football legend took to Instagram and shared a personal message with the Russian, telling him, “Congratulations brother. Your father is proud of you.”

With the Eagle reportedly keen on a football career after leaving MMA behind, perhaps one day we’ll see Nurmagomedov and Ronaldo line up alongside one another.
