Offbeat news from the world of sport
Back in March 2021, Valerie Loureda – who dubs herself Miss MMA – followed in the footsteps of Paige VanZant by launching a private site for her fans with subscribers receiving exclusive news and photoshoots.
The 23-year-old made a name for herself as she competed in Bellator in 2020 and impressed through her first few fights, which included a win over Tara Graff at Bellator 243 in August of the same year. Loureda would celebrate her wins by twerking in the octagon much to the delight of onlookers.
The Flyweight was then criticised by fellow combat star Macy Chiasson for using 'sex' to impress and elevate her status in MMA. However, Loureda continues to find her own path and she now possesses a 4-1-0 record.
She ultimately appears to have followed in the footsteps of former UFC prospect VanZant, who used Instagram to flaunt her figure before she launched a fan site of her own. For just over £7-a-month, Loureda promised fans will be able to get more exclusive content on the FanTime platform.
“I’m so excited to launch loveloureda.com to provide my fans with exclusive access to my personal life,” Loureda said when the site launched. “Subscribers will be provided a behind-the-scenes look at my training sessions and have exclusive access to an assortment of photoshoots and more.
“Who knows, maybe I’ll release details about my next fight on the site. Make sure you subscribe today!”

Loureda has certainly tried to jump on the hype kickstarted by stars like VanZant. The 28-year-old, who is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling after stints in UFC and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, burst to fame thanks to her risqué social media posts.
She launched her own fan site with exclusive content last month, and it appears to have started a trend. VanZant made her AEW debut with her husband Austin Vanderford in the audience on the March 9 episode of Dynamite.
During the main event, she attacked Tay Conti at ringside, distracting Sammy Guevara and assisting Scorpio Sky to win the TNT Championship. VanZant then signed her AEW contract on top of Tay's body after the match.
Laureda herself has been linked with a move to wrestling, as she was invited to Texas for a tryout ahead of WrestleMania 38. It could be a shrewd move for the Instagram star, as she suffered her first professional MMA defeat to Hannah Guy in May 2021.
